The AC Infinity UIS Lighting Adapter Type-B is the version for grow lights that dim using a resistor protocol rather than PWM or 0–10 V. Same job as the Type-A — it puts a third-party light under an AC Infinity controller with full intensity control, ramped transitions, schedules and climate triggers — but for the analogue dimming standard used by a lot of Meanwell and MOSO drivers and most older fixtures.
Full dimming control, not just on and off
A UIS Control Plug switches a light on and off on schedule, which is worth having. This adapter talks to the dimming circuit itself, so the controller sets output level as well as timing: ramped sunrise and sunset instead of a hard switch, intensity stepped through veg and flower without touching the dial, and the light living in the same app and the same schedule as your fans and humidifier.
Which lights work
Any RJ11/RJ12 light using resistor dimming. AC Infinity's list, which they keep adding to:

FAQ
How do I tell whether I need Type-A or Type-B?
It comes down to the driver, not the light. Find the sticker on the driver and note the make and model. Meanwell and MOSO drivers usually mean Type-B; the light brand's own driver, and Inventronics, usually mean Type-A. Photograph the driver label and send it to us — it takes us a minute and it beats ordering the wrong one.
Will it work on my Controller AI+?
AC Infinity list the lighting adapters for the Controller 69 range and later UIS controllers. If you are on an AI+ and want it confirmed for your specific light and driver before ordering, send us the details and we will check with AC Infinity.
Can I run more than one light from it?
Yes, using your light manufacturer's own daisy-chain arrangement. Once the first light is on the adapter, the others chain off it and all follow the same program.
What if my light isn't on the list?
The list is not exhaustive and AC Infinity keep adding to it, so not being on it does not mean it will not work. Send us the model and driver details and we will look into it before you buy. If none of the adapters suit, a UIS Control Plug will still give you scheduled on/off control from the same controller.
My controller doesn't recognise it. What now?
Check for a controller firmware update in the AC Infinity app. That fixes it in almost every case; if it does not, get in touch.
