Genuine AC Infinity Australia

AC Infinity products reach Australia through more than one channel — not all of them carry a local warranty. That's not a reason to buy only from us directly: our authorised Australian retail partners carry the exact same local warranty. Here's what actually puts a warranty at risk, and how Quick Bloom Lights backs every genuine AC Infinity product sold through an authorised Australian channel.

What "grey import" means

AC Infinity is a US-based company. Outside of the manufacturer's own authorised channels in a given country, products can still reach that market — through overseas marketplace listings, drop-shippers, or resellers who aren't part of the manufacturer's local distribution arrangement. This is usually called a grey import or parallel import: the goods themselves may be genuine, but the sale isn't backed by a local, authorised warranty and support arrangement.

This isn't unique to AC Infinity or to hydroponics equipment — it's a general feature of how global brands reach markets like Australia, and it applies across most imported electronics categories.

Why it matters for your warranty

A manufacturer's warranty is typically only backed through the channel it was sold through. If a fan, light, or controller is faulty and it wasn't sold by an authorised local distributor, the practical options are usually limited to shipping it back to wherever it was originally sold — at your cost, over international shipping times, with no guarantee the seller will honour a claim from a different country at all.

As the Australian importer and distributor of AC Infinity, Quick Bloom Lights backs every genuine AC Infinity product sold in Australia through an authorised channel with a local warranty, processed locally, without needing to ship anything overseas. This applies whether you buy directly from us or from one of the Australian retailers we supply — the warranty follows the product, not the specific store.

Where to buy genuine AC Infinity in Australia

Quick Bloom Lights and our authorised Australian retail partners sell in-store, through quickbloomlights.com.au, and through those authorised retailers directly — we do not sell through eBay, Amazon, or general retailers like Bunnings, Kmart, or Etsy. If you've bought, or are considering buying, an AC Infinity product through one of those marketplaces, it isn't coming from us or an authorised Australian reseller.

Listings for AC Infinity products on these platforms are typically set up for a different regional market rather than Australia, and usually arrive with a US-style plug, needing an adapter to use here. Some units may be dual-voltage and may run on Australian power once adapted, but this can vary by model and change over time — in some cases a unit is 110V-only, which is not safe to run on Australian power without a proper step-down converter. Stock from these listings also won't carry Quick Bloom Lights' local Australian warranty.

3 questions to ask before you buy

These matter for a seller you don't already know and trust. Buying directly from Quick Bloom Lights, or from one of our known Australian retail partners, isn't something you need to interrogate.

  1. Who processes the warranty claim, and from where? If a fault has to be sent overseas, or the seller can't clearly explain their local warranty process, that's a sign you're not buying through an authorised local channel.
  2. Is there a local returns address? An Australian street address for returns — not just a contact email — is a basic sign of a locally established seller.
  3. Does the price make sense for new, authorised stock? Pricing well below the normal range can be a sign of clearance, grey-market, or otherwise non-standard stock — not always a problem, but worth asking about directly before you buy.
