The AC Infinity TERRAFORM 9 is an all-in-one climate control unit for grow tents that cools, heats, dehumidifies and circulates air through a single duct. Set a temperature or VPD target and it switches between cooling, heating and fan on its own to hold it — one machine doing the job of an air conditioner, a heater and a dehumidifier. It delivers 2,600 W of cooling (9,000 BTU), 2,100 W of heating and up to 24 L a day of dehumidifying, and this is the Australian version: 220–240 V / 50 Hz with an Australian plug. Total environmental control
Most grow spaces end up with a stack of separate machines — an air conditioner for summer, a heater for winter nights, a dehumidifier for flower — each on its own thermostat and often working against each other. The TERRAFORM 9 replaces that stack with one unit and one set of targets. It reads temperature, humidity and VPD and switches between cooling, heating and fan on its own to hold your target, all through the same duct. When humidity is the problem, DRY mode turns it into a dedicated dehumidifier rated at up to 24 L a day.
It is also efficient at both ends of the year. AC Infinity rate it at 2,600 W of cooling from 1,000 W of input power, and 2,100 W of heating from just 800 W — because it pumps heat rather than making it, you get roughly 2.6 W of heating or cooling for every watt it draws.
Set and forget
Setup is one duct from the unit to your tent. When the TERRAFORM 9 switches between cooling, heating and fan, the air simply keeps coming through that duct — there is nothing to swap over as the seasons or the day-night cycle change. The only exception is DRY mode: it uses a second duct in AC Infinity's two-duct arrangement and is selected manually rather than switched in automatically, so it suits a stretch of dedicated dehumidifying such as late flower.
Advanced controls
Onboard, you set a temperature or VPD target and the unit automatically switches between cooling, heating and fan to hold it, with 10 output levels for fine control rather than full-on, full-off cycling. Adaptive AI stabilises temperature, humidity and VPD, auto-restart with backup memory picks up where it left off after a power cut, and auto-tilt and overheat protection shut it down if something is wrong.
Self-evaporative drainage
Air conditioners pull water out of the air, and emptying tanks is the chore that makes people give up on them. The TERRAFORM 9 pumps excess condensate back to its condenser and evaporates it, which cuts down how often it needs draining. It is not completely drain-free: some modes and very humid conditions still need draining, and DRY mode needs the supplied drain pipe fitted.
Where it fits
AC Infinity rate the TERRAFORM 9 for grow tents up to about 3 × 3 m (10 × 10 ft). Real-world results depend on how much heat your lights put out, how warm the surrounding room is and how well the space is sealed. The unit sits outside the tent and ducts conditioned air in. Like every air conditioner, it moves heat rather than destroying it, so the room it sits in needs somewhere for that heat to go — a window seal up to 4 m long is included, and AC Infinity's installation guide covers venting and ducting.

Setup and safety
- Keep it upright during transport and leave it standing upright before switching it on for the first time — follow the waiting time on AC Infinity's warning label on the box and unit. If in doubt, leave it overnight.
- It uses R290, a natural refrigerant that is flammable. Keep the unit away from ignition sources, never puncture the refrigerant circuit, and leave any refrigerant work to a licensed refrigeration technician.
- Use it indoors, upright, in a ventilated area. Plug it directly into a wall outlet on its own circuit — no extension leads or power boards.
- Follow the supplied installation, ducting, drainage and clearance instructions before first use.
FAQ
When will it arrive, and how do I pre-order?
We expect the first shipment to land in late November 2026. International shipping delays are unpredictable, so the date can move. Supply of the TERRAFORM 9 is very limited. Pre-orders will open soon; if you want to secure a unit before then, email sales@quickbloomlights.com.au. Early pre-orders are payment in full only, and are for customers who accept that the arrival date may be delayed.
Can it cool and dehumidify at the same time?
Cooling always pulls some moisture out of the air as a side effect, as every air conditioner does, so a TERRAFORM 9 cooling a hot, humid tent is drying it too. For dedicated dehumidifying you switch it to DRY mode, which runs as its own mode with the two-duct setup rather than alongside heating or automatic cooling. AC Infinity rate DRY mode at up to 24 L a day; like every dehumidifier rating, that is a maximum under test conditions, and a tent that is already fairly dry will see less.
The US site shows a TERRAFORM 8 at 12,000 BTU. Is this smaller?
No. The US TERRAFORM 8 is a different 115 V unit, and its 12,000 BTU figure is on the older ASHRAE scale. AC Infinity have confirmed to us that the TERRAFORM 9 is rated 9,000 BTU on the SACC scale — the more realistic standard — while the TERRAFORM 8 rates 8,000 BTU SACC. The TERRAFORM 9 is built for 220–240 V / 50 Hz and ships with an Australian plug.
Does it go inside the tent?
No. It sits outside the tent and ducts conditioned air in. The room it sits in needs to be between 16 and 35 °C for it to operate, and needs somewhere for the heat it removes to go.
What size tent does it suit?
AC Infinity rate it for tents up to about 3 × 3 m. A hot light load, a warm room or a leaky space will shrink that, so if you are running high-wattage lighting in a warm room, ask us before you order.
Do I need a controller?
No. It holds temperature, humidity and VPD targets on its own. A Controller AI+ adds adaptive AI mode switching, the Wi-Fi app, logging and alerts.
Will it work with my Controller 69 Pro or Pro+?
No. The TERRAFORM 9 is not compatible with the Controller 69 series, and its adaptive AI mode switching is not available through Controller 69 Pro+ or earlier controllers. To connect it to the app and your other UIS devices you need a Controller AI+ or newer. Without a controller it still runs fully on its own onboard controls.
Will I have to empty a water tank?
Much less often than a standard portable air conditioner, because it evaporates most condensate itself. Some modes and very humid conditions still need draining, and DRY mode needs the supplied drain pipe.
Is there a bigger model for large tents?
For now the TERRAFORM 9 is the only TERRAFORM coming to Australia.
