GermiPad. is the propagation skin in the Seed Starter system. It picks up where germination stops. It sits on a Heat Pack. and turns it into a small heated propagator: a silicone base, an aluminium plate that spreads the warmth evenly, and a clear humidity dome with an adjustable vent. Use it to raise sprouted seeds into seedlings, or to root cuttings, bulbs and corms, in a space about the size of a paperback. The Heat Pack. is not included. GermiPad is sold on its own because it runs on the same Heat Pack. that powers Sprout.

Where seeds become seedlings
Sprout. gets a seed to a taproot. Next the seedling needs warmth at the roots, humid air around its first leaves, and a little more room. That is the job GermiPad. does. The Heat Pack. warms the aluminium base plate, and the plate spreads that warmth across the whole growing area, so there are no hot or cold spots. The seedlings sit under a clear dome, where the humidity stays high while the roots establish.
The dome's vent is adjustable. Keep it closed while cuttings are rooting or seedlings are fresh. Then open it gradually to harden plants off before they go into a larger pot or a tent. This is the same step you would take with a full-size propagator, done at a scale that fits on a windowsill, a desk or a shelf in the tent.
One Heat Pack., the whole early life of the plant
Heat Pack. is the powered part of the Seed Starter system, and the skins swap on and off it. If you already own a Sprout. + Heat Pack. Kit, adding GermiPad. costs you the skin only, not a second heater. Germinate in Sprout., move the sprouted seeds to GermiPad., and put the Heat Pack. under whichever stage needs it.

FAQ
Does GermiPad. come with a Heat Pack.?
No. It is the skin only. You need a Heat Pack. to heat it. If you bought a Sprout. + Heat Pack. Kit, the Heat Pack. from that kit works with GermiPad.
GermiPad. or Sprout.: which do I need?
They cover different stages. Sprout. is a sealed chamber for germinating seeds to a taproot. GermiPad. is for what comes after, with room for seedlings to put on leaves under a dome, plus cuttings and bulbs. If you only want to crack seeds, Sprout. is the better buy. If you root cuttings or want to keep seedlings under heat for longer, choose GermiPad. If you want both, get both, since they share the Heat Pack.
Can one Heat Pack. run Sprout. and GermiPad. at the same time?
No. A Heat Pack. powers one skin at a time. For most growers that works fine, because the seed moves from Sprout. to GermiPad. and the Heat Pack. moves with it. If you want both stages running at once, add a second Heat Pack.
How many seedlings or cuttings fit?
The growing area is 13 × 9.5 cm, about the size of a small phone. That comfortably fits a handful of plugs or pellets, or a small batch of cuttings, depending on their size. It is built for home growers starting a few plants at a time with precise heat, not for filling a greenhouse. If you need to propagate whole trays, a full-size heat mat and dome will serve you better.
Do I need to change the temperature?
Usually not. The Heat Pack. comes set to 27°C, which is the sweet spot for seedlings and cuttings. For most growers, the best approach is to plug it in and leave it. You can adjust it in 1°C steps, but only do that if you find a particular plant needs a bit more or less warmth.
Will condensation or water damage the Heat Pack.?
The silicone skin and aluminium plate sit between the media and the Heat Pack. Keep watering moderate: the media should be moist, not sitting in water. Wipe the Heat Pack. with a dry or slightly damp cloth only. Don't submerge it or put it in the dishwasher. Only the silicone skin is dishwasher safe.
Can I use it in a grow tent?
Yes. It is small enough to sit on a shelf or the tent floor, and it runs off a USB-C charger. Keep the dome vent closed at first if the tent air is dry or your extraction is strong, then open it as the plants establish.
