This is the SKIN ONLY - HEAT PACK NOT INCL.
Together they form a sealed, heated chamber where seeds hydrate, sprout, and develop strong taproots under stable conditions.
Sprout. is one component of the modular Seed Starter ecosystem — a system designed for growers who want precise control over single-seed germination, with the flexibility to expand and replace parts independently.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need anything else to use Sprout.? Yes. Sprout. requires Heat Pack. to operate - it is the silicone outer skin only. Buy them together as a bundle, or add Heat Pack. separately to your cart.
What temperature does Sprout. hold? Sprout. does not generate heat — it shapes and retains the warmth produced by Heat Pack. inside the sealed pod. Heat Pack. is adjustable between 20°C and 35°C in 1°C increments, with a calibrated default of 27°C. The exact temperature inside the pod will sit very close to the Heat Pack. setting once stable.
How long do seeds take to germinate? Varies by species. Most chillies germinate in 7–21 days under stable warmth, tomatoes in 5–10 days, herbs vary widely. Sprout. + Heat Pack. supports faster, more reliable germination by maintaining steady temperatures.
Can I reuse Sprout.? Yes. EU food-grade silicone is durable, dishwasher safe, and designed for repeated use across many germination cycles.
Is the silicone safe for seedlings? Yes. EU food-grade silicone is non-toxic, odourless, and chemically inert. It does not leach into water or soil and meets the same standard used in baby products and food preparation.
How do I clean Sprout.? Remove Heat Pack. first. Wash Sprout. with warm water and mild detergent, or place it in the dishwasher. Air dry before reassembly.
Does it ship from Australia? Yes. Quick Bloom Lights stocks Sprout. in Sydney and ships across Australia and New Zealand along with Asia (for intl. orders reach out to Sales@quickbloomlights.com.au).
Can I run multiple Sprout. pods at once? Yes — purchase additional Heat Pack. units and Sprout. skins to run several germinations in parallel.
How much power does it use? Heat Pack. uses up to 6W during warm-up and around 1W to maintain temperature. Running it 24/7 at maintenance power costs only a few cents per week at typical Australian electricity rates.
What USB-C adapter do I need? A 5V USB-C adapter delivering at least 1.5A is the minimum. A 20W or higher adapter is recommended for optimal performance and faster warm-up. Most modern phone chargers meet this spec — check the wattage on the adapter itself. New Apple USB C charges are recommended.
Can I leave it running 24/7? Yes. Heat Pack. is designed for continuous operation throughout the germination cycle and uses minimal power once stable.
