Passive watering, straight to the roots
Wick lines run from the reservoir up into the pot, drawing water into the medium as the plant uses it. The medium stays evenly moist instead of swinging from soaked to dry between waterings, which is easier on the roots and on you. The wick lengths are adjustable, and because the system is passive there is nothing to plug in.
A cleaner, drier floor
The heavy-duty drip tray catches runoff and stores it for the plant to draw back up, so nutrients are not wasted and water does not end up on the floor. The reservoir plate lifts the fabric pot off the standing water, which keeps algae and build-up from spreading into the pot. A water gauge shows the level at a glance, and a strainer spout makes refilling quick and tidy.
Upgrade to auto-fill
Add the Auto-Fill Upgrade Valve Kit and each base refills itself from one larger reservoir. A float valve tops the base up as the level drops, fed by gravity through 3/8″ OD tubing: no pump, no power. Link several bases to the same tank and the whole grow waters from a single fill.

This base fits 7 and 10 gallon fabric pots. For pots up to 5 gallons, choose the standard base.
How often do I refill it?
It depends on plant size, temperature and airflow. Bigger plants in a warm, well-ventilated space drink faster. The gauge shows when it is time, and the auto-fill valve kit removes the job entirely.
Can I use it with plastic pots?
It is designed for fabric pots, which let the wicks draw water up into the medium. Solid plastic pots will not draw water the same way.
Can I feed nutrients through it?
Yes. Nutrient solution goes in the reservoir the same as water. Keep an eye on the reservoir and clean it between cycles so salts and algae do not build up.
