Air-pruning for stronger roots
In a hard plastic pot, roots reach the wall and circle, and the plant ends up root-bound. In fabric, root tips that reach the wall meet air and stop growing, so the plant branches out with new feeder roots instead. That gives a dense, fibrous root mass that fills the whole pot and takes up water and nutrients evenly. The fabric also drains and breathes on every side, which makes it very hard to overwater and keeps the root zone from overheating.
Built heavy duty, made to reuse
The 500G fabric is thicker than typical grow bags, so a full, wet 7 gallon pot keeps its shape and can be carried by its nylon handles without tearing. Reinforced double stitching holds up season after season, and the pots are machine washable, then fold flat for storage. The fabric is BPA-free. What does "true capacity" mean?
Fill to the double stitch line and you get the full volume on the label: 29 L. Many fabric pots are sized to the brim and hold less in practice.
How do I water a fabric pot?
Water slowly until a little runs out the bottom, then let it dry back before watering again. Fabric drains and breathes much faster than plastic, so expect to water more often, or pair it with a self-watering base to even that out.
Can I reuse them?
Yes. Knock out the old root ball, wash the pots (they are machine washable), let them dry fully and they are ready for the next cycle.
Do I need a saucer underneath?
Yes. Fabric drains through the base and sides, so stand it in a saucer or tray. The XL self-watering base catches runoff and feeds it back to the plant.
