The AC Infinity UIS Lighting Daisy-Chain Adapter is the dongle that lets a long row of grow lights run from one port. It converts between UIS and RJ11/12 and splits the connection so lights chain one to the next, up to twenty devices on a single program — which is how you dim and schedule a full bench or a multi-bar canopy without a port for every fixture.
Two jobs, opposite directions
It is worth being clear about what this part is for, because it solves two different problems depending on which way round you use it.
AC Infinity lights, other brand's controller
If your room already runs a third-party controller with RJ11 or RJ12 ports, this dongle lets Ionbeam, Ionboard, Iongrid and Ionframe fixtures join it and follow its programming. You keep the workflow you have and add AC Infinity lighting to it rather than replacing the control system.
Chaining lights off a UIS controller
Used with a Type-A lighting adapter (sold separately) it extends the reach of a single controller port across a large lighting run, with the included RJ11 cable carrying the signal down the chain.
Why twenty lights on one port is the point
Lights in the same canopy almost never want different programs — they go on together, ramp together and dim together. Giving each one its own controller port would waste ports on a distinction that does not exist. Chaining them puts the whole bank on one program, which is both correct and frees your remaining ports for the things that genuinely need their own rules: the extraction fan, the humidifier, the heater.
Cables are built for reach rather than economy, which matters on a twenty-metre bench where a marginal connection halfway down is a difficult fault to find.

FAQ
Is this the same as the 4-port splitter hub?
No. The splitter hub is for UIS devices generally — fans, humidifiers, heaters — and takes four per port. This dongle is specifically for lighting, converts between UIS and RJ11/12, and chains up to twenty fixtures.
Can I program the lights on the chain separately?
No. Everything on the chain follows the one program from that port, which is usually what you want for a canopy that goes on and off together. A light needing its own schedule goes on its own port.
Do I need a Type-A adapter as well?
It depends which direction you are working in. Putting AC Infinity lights onto a third-party RJ11/12 controller, no — this dongle does it. Chaining lights from an AC Infinity UIS controller port, yes — you need a Type-A adapter as well, sold separately. Tell us your setup and we will confirm the parts list.
Will it work with any third-party controller?
Any controller with RJ11 or RJ12 ports using the PWM protocol. Resistor-dimming and spectrum-control systems are outside what it handles. Send us the controller model and we will check it before you order.
Can I mix light brands on one chain?
Yes, provided they all speak RJ11 PWM. Be aware that different manufacturers implement dimming slightly differently, so brands on a shared chain may not land on exactly the same output at a given level. For a uniform canopy, matching fixtures is the safer approach.
