The AC Infinity 3-Way Y Duct Splitter, 150 mm divides one duct run into two — one 150 mm inlet to two 150 mm outlets. Powder-coated steel, with crimped and ridged rims and a raised lip on all three ports so ducting grips and stays put.
One fan, two destinations. It is the cheapest way to serve a second zone without buying a second fan, a second controller and a second wall penetration.
What people use it for
Home ventilation
- Reaching a dead corner under a house that cross-flow never gets to — see the subfloor guide on layout
- One extraction fan serving a laundry and an adjoining bathroom
- Drawing makeup air in at two spread points so it sweeps the space
- Splitting a roof-space run across two ends of the cavity
Hydroponic ventilation
- One fan extracting from two tents on the same run
- Feeding two intake ports so air sweeps rather than short-circuits
- Splitting filtered supply from one filter box to two rooms
- Running exhaust from a tent and a lung room off one fan

FAQ
Will each outlet get half the airflow?
Roughly, if both legs are similar in length and bend count. Air takes the easiest path, so a short straight leg will always take more than a long twisting one. Want them even? Match the runs. Want one favoured? Make that one shorter.
Do I need a bigger fan if I split the run?
Almost always. You are serving two destinations from one fan, so size it for the total. This is the single most common mistake with splitters — fitting one to a fan that was already at its limit.
Can I shut one leg off?
Not with the splitter alone; there is no damper in it. A backdraft damper in one leg makes it one-way, but for genuine on/off control of a branch you want a manual blast gate, which is a different part.
Can I chain two for four outlets?
Mechanically yes, and people do. Be realistic about the far end — each split halves the flow again and every joint adds resistance. Four outlets off one domestic-sized fan is usually two too many.
How do I seal three joints?
Duct over each ridged port, then a stainless clamp or foil tape on all three. Three joints in a short space is a lot of potential leakage, so it is worth doing each one properly rather than trusting tape alone.
Is this genuine AC Infinity stock with an Australian warranty?
Yes. Quick Bloom Lights is the official Australian importer and distributor for AC Infinity. Stock is held in Sydney, orders ship domestically, and the two-year warranty is handled here rather than through an overseas seller.
