The Mean Well HLG-120H-54B is a 120 W LED driver with a 54 V output, a 2.3 A current limit and 3-in-1 dimming. It works as constant voltage until the load reaches 2.3 A, then as constant current anywhere from 27 to 54 V — which is why it is a favourite for driving one or two LED boards in parallel, and for 48–54 V LED fittings.

One driver, two modes

Dual-mode output means the same driver runs LED strip or modules at a fixed 54 V, or drives LED boards directly in its constant-current region. Boards with a forward voltage in the high 40s to low 50s sit in that window, which is why this model turns up in so many small builds and in lights around the 100 W mark.

Dimmable, and controller-ready

The B model's dim wires accept 0–10 V, PWM or resistance. Connect a manual dimmer, or an AC Infinity UIS Lighting Adapter Type-D and the light follows your controller's schedules, sunrise and sunset ramps and intensity settings.

Built for integrators, installed by professionals. Mean Well drivers are industrial LED components, supplied with bare input and output leads to be built into a finished light fitting. They are certified to international lighting-driver standards (UL, ENEC, CE, CB) rather than carrying an Australian RCM mark, so the finished installation is the installer's to design and certify. The mains side must be connected by a licensed electrician. We supply the driver; how and where it is installed and used sits with the installer and the owner.

FAQ

Will it drive my LED board?

If the board's forward voltage at your target current sits between 27 and 54 V and it can take up to 2.3 A, yes. Two boards in parallel share the 2.3 A. Check the board's datasheet, or ask us.

What is the difference from the HLG-320H-C2100AB?

Power and wiring style. The HLG-320H-C2100AB drives higher-voltage series strings at 320 W; this one drives lower-voltage boards or strips at up to 124 W.

Can I adjust the output?

The B model has no potentiometer. Output is controlled through the dim wires — a manual dimmer or the Type-D adapter. With the dim wires left unconnected it runs at full output.
