The Digi-Lumen Extreme 400 W is a compact six-bar fixture built to light a 1 × 1 m canopy properly — 1200 µmol/s at 3.0 µmol/J from 1128 diodes, with the 400 W driver built into the fixture so there is no ballast box to mount and no DC lead running across the room. At 3.85 kg and 590 × 578 mm it is a one-person hang, and it carries the same efficacy figure as the big fixtures in the range.

Six bars over a square metre

Six bars across a 590 × 578 mm frame, each diode throwing a 120° beam so the cones overlap before they reach the canopy. Digi-Lumen measure 1761 µmol/m²/s at 30 cm across a 5 × 5 grid — concentrating 1200 µmol/s over a single square metre gives you serious intensity for a fixture this size, and the bar layout is what keeps it even from the middle out to the corners.

The light source is 1128 single-mount LEDs — 1080 white 4000 K carrying the broad photosynthetic workload, plus 48 deep red 660 nm. One spectrum, seedlings through to flower, nothing to swap over halfway.

The driver is built in

A 400 W high-frequency driver sits inside the fixture's spine. No ballast to mount on the tent pole, no low-voltage lead to route, one power cord per light. Fewer connections to work loose, and the whole fixture weighs 3.85 kg — it hangs off two rope ratchets and you can adjust the height on your own without a second pair of hands.

Iron frame with an aluminium heat sink, passively cooled, IP45 rated for dust and moisture, and rated to run anywhere from -25°C to 40°C.

3.0 µmol/J, and what that buys you

Efficacy is the honest way to compare grow lights: photons out per watt in. At 3.0 µmol/J this compact fixture matches the 720 W and 1000 W Extremes photon-for-photon per watt — you are not paying an efficiency penalty for buying the small one. More of the 400 W on your meter ends up as light on the canopy and less of it as heat, which in a small tent is worth as much as the light itself.

Dim it by hand, or hand it to your controller

There is a manual dimmer dial on the spine — wind it back for seedlings and early veg, bring it up as the canopy fills, run it out through flower. Next to the dial are IN and OUT ports for 0–10 V dimming on RJ12 connectors, confirmed by Digi-Lumen, so you can drive it from a controller and chain the signal on to another fixture if you run more than one.

Runs on your AC Infinity controller. The whole Digi-Lumen range works with AC Infinity's UIS system through the UIS Lighting Adapter Type-A. Plug the adapter into the light's RJ12 control port and into a Controller 69, 69 Pro, 69 Pro+ or AI+, and your photoperiod and dimming run off the same controller as your inline fan, humidifier and heater — one schedule, one app, one place to change it. No separate lighting timer, no second system to learn.

FAQ

Is 400 W enough for a 1 × 1 m tent?

Yes — that is exactly what it is sized for, and at 1761 µmol/m²/s measured at 30 cm it is not a light you will feel short-changed by. Concentrating 1200 µmol/s over a single square metre is what gives a compact fixture this kind of intensity. If your tent is 1.2 × 1.2 m you will want the 720 W Extreme instead, and we are happy to point you there.

What do I need to run it off an AC Infinity controller?

Two things: a UIS Lighting Adapter Type-A (AC-ADL7) and a UIS controller — Controller 69, 69 Pro, 69 Pro+ or AI+. The light's control ports are RJ12, which is what the Type-A adapter is made for. The adapter plugs into the light and into a UIS port on the controller, and from there the light behaves like any other UIS device: same schedule, same app, same place you set your fan and humidifier. If you are putting a whole tent together, tell us what is going in it and we will put the parts list together for you.

Can I run more than one off the same controller?

Yes. The fixture has RJ12 IN and OUT ports on the 0–10 V control side, so the dimming signal passes from one light to the next and they follow the same instruction. Each light still needs its own 240 V power cord — the chain carries the control signal, not the power.

Do I need CO2 to get the most out of it?

No. At 400 W over a square metre this is well matched to what plants can use in ordinary room air, so you are not buying output you cannot feed. CO2 enrichment is something to think about when you move up to a bigger space and a bigger fixture — it is not a requirement here.

Do I need a separate ballast or driver box?

No. The driver is inside the fixture. One 240 V power cord, hang it, and you are running.

What does the 2.02 A draw mean for my circuit?

At full output it pulls about 2 A on a 240 V supply — a single fixture plus a fan, a humidifier and a controller all sit comfortably on a standard 10 A outlet. Even two of these in a small room is straightforward. For a full multi-light room, have a licensed electrician confirm the load before install day.

How does it handle a humid grow room?

Well. It is IP45 rated against dust and splashing water from any direction and runs anywhere from -25°C to 40°C, so a working tent at high humidity is exactly the environment it was built for. It is not designed for submersion or direct hosing, so keep the wash-down away from it.

Is it covered by an Australian warranty?

Yes. Two years, backed by Quick Bloom Lights here in Sydney. If something goes wrong you deal with us, not an offshore seller.

Great Compact light

I love the digi lumen 400W light especially for its smaller size i have a lot of different digi lumens and i think the 400w is probably my favourite!
