ASA QBL Filaments – Outdoor & UV Resistant Functional Filament (1.75mm)
Launching end of March
For gardeners who need parts that survive heat, sun, moisture, and real outdoor conditions.
QBL Filaments ASA is a professional-grade 3D printing filament purpose-selected for gardening, grow rooms, greenhouses, subfloor installs, and permanent outdoor plant setups. Unlike PLA or PETG, ASA is engineered to handle long-term UV exposure, elevated temperatures, and harsh conditions without fading, embrittlement, or structural failure.
This is filament for serious functional use — not decorative prints.

Why ASA for Gardening & Plant Applications?
Most outdoor prints fail for one simple reason: UV and heat.
QBL Filaments ASA is built to withstand both.
-
UV-stable – resists chalking, fading and surface degradation
-
Heat resistant – performs in hot sheds, grow tents and summer climates
-
Moisture tolerant – low water absorption for humid environments
-
Strong and impact resistant – resists cracking under load or vibration
-
Long service life outdoors – suitable for permanent installations
ASA is the material you choose when you don’t want to reprint parts every season.

Made for Real-World Conditions
QBL Filaments ASA offers a balanced combination of rigidity and toughness, allowing parts to hold shape while absorbing stress and impact.
-
Tensile strength: ~37 MPa
-
Flexural strength: ~65 MPa
-
Heat deflection temperature: ~100 °C
-
Low shrinkage with a clean, professional surface finish
The result: dimensionally stable prints that remain reliable after months — even years — outdoors.
Printing Notes
ASA is not beginner PLA — and that’s intentional.
-
Best results with an enclosed printer
-
Higher nozzle and bed temperatures required
-
Minimal cooling recommended
If you’re comfortable printing PETG or ABS, ASA will feel familiar — with superior weather resistance.
Once dialled in, ASA is extremely consistent and repeatable.
