A 14.5 kg (32 lb) bag of Australian Virgin RC412 activated charcoal, rated at 1200+ IAV — the same carbon AC Infinity pack into their filters at the factory, sold loose for repacking a refillable carbon filter. Supplied as granules rather than pellets, which is what gives it the surface area to hold more odour per kilo. Quick Bloom Lights is the official Australian importer: stocked in Sydney, shipped domestically.
What this bag refills
Refilling costs a fraction of a new filter, and the housing, mesh, flanges and pre-filter all stay in service. This bag covers:
| Filter size | Refills |
|---|---|
| 200 mm (8″) | 2+ refills |
| 150 mm (6″) | 4+ refills |
| 100 mm (4″) | 8+ refills |
Figures are AC Infinity's. Fill using the funnel and scoop supplied with the refillable filter kit — the chamber reaches factory compression on its own, so there is no need to tamp the charcoal down.
Granules, not pellets
The form factor is not cosmetic. Granular carbon presents more surface area and higher porosity than extruded pellets of the same weight, so it traps more before it saturates. Combined with the 1200+ IAV rating — the measure of how much odour a given weight of carbon can hold — that is what determines how long a refill lasts before smell starts getting through.

FAQ
Will this refill a standard Duct Carbon Filter?
No. Standard filters are sealed at both ends — they reverse, but they do not open. This carbon is for the Refillable Carbon Filter Kits, whose flanges twist off by hand.
Do I need to compress it?
No. The refillable filter's chamber is oversized so it reaches factory compression without tamping. Pour it in with the funnel supplied and reassemble.
How should I store an opened bag?
Sealed and dry. Activated carbon adsorbs whatever is around it, including water vapour and household odours, so an open bag left in a damp shed is quietly using itself up before it ever reaches your filter.
What does 1200+ IAV mean?
IAV is the iodine adsorption value, a measure of how much odour a given weight of carbon can hold. Higher means more capacity and a longer service life. Cheap filters often use low-IAV carbon, a thin bed, or both, which is why they seem fine for a month and then stop working.
Is this genuine AC Infinity stock with Australian warranty?
Yes. Quick Bloom Lights is the official Australian importer and distributor for AC Infinity. Stock is held in Sydney, orders ship domestically, and warranty is handled here rather than through an overseas seller.
