A Precision Kit for Faster, More Reliable Germination
Paper towels dry out. Plastic bags trap stagnant air. Heat mats warm a wide area at a fixed, imprecise temperature. Most seed germination methods rely on conditions you can't actually control.
The Sprout. + Heat Pack. Kit is built differently. Heat Pack. delivers adjustable, targeted warmth from 20°C to 35°C in 1°C increments. Sprout.'s EU food-grade silicone insulates that warmth into a sealed chamber, with airflow grooves that maintain oxygen exchange and a magnetic lid for easy inspection.
The result is a stable, repeatable microenvironment — the kind serious growers have always needed and home growers rarely had access to.
The Three Variables That Decide Germination
Every seed needs three things to germinate successfully. Get them right and germination is fast and consistent. Get any of them wrong and seeds fail or develop weakly.
1. Temperature Most seeds have a narrow optimal range — typically 24–28°C for warm-season varieties. Heat Pack. holds your chosen temperature within a 1°C band.
2. Moisture Sprout.'s sealed silicone chamber retains humidity around the seed without flooding it. Lift the lid to check, snap it back on — the microclimate stays intact.
3. Oxygen Seeds breathe during germination. Sprout.'s signature airflow grooves on the lid allow gentle passive ventilation, preventing the stagnation that causes mould and rot in plastic-bag methods.
Together, this kit gives you control over all three at once.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between this kit and buying the parts separately? Same products, same warranty — but bundled at $9.95 less than buying them individually. The kit is also the simplest way to start: everything you need in one purchase.
Which colour should I pick? Functionally identical. Both have a black body; only the lid colour differs. Black is the more discreet finish; Orange is brighter and easier to spot at a glance. Pick whichever suits your space.
Do I need a separate USB-C adapter? Yes. The kit includes the USB-C cable but not the wall adapter. Most modern phone chargers (5V/1.5A or higher, 20W+ recommended) will work.
What temperature should I set for my seeds? Most warm-season seeds (chillies, tomatoes, capsicums, basil) germinate best at 24–28°C. Cool-season seeds prefer 18–22°C. Refer to your seed packet for specifics — Heat Pack.'s 20–35°C range covers most common varieties.
How long do seeds take to germinate? Varies by species. Chillies: 7–21 days. Tomatoes: 5–10 days. Herbs vary widely. Stable warmth supports faster, more reliable germination than ambient conditions.
Can I run multiple Sprout. pods off one Heat Pack.? Heat Pack. is designed to power one Sprout. (or other compatible Seed Starter skin) at a time. To run multiple germinations in parallel, add additional Heat Pack. units.
How much power does it use? Up to 6W during warm-up, around 1W to maintain temperature. Running 24/7 costs only a few cents per week at typical Australian electricity rates.
Can I leave it running 24/7? Yes. Heat Pack. is designed for continuous operation throughout the germination cycle.
How do I clean Sprout.? Remove Heat Pack. first. Wash the silicone with warm water and mild detergent, or place it in the dishwasher. Air dry before reassembly. Do not submerge Heat Pack. — wipe with a dry cloth only.
Is the silicone safe for seedlings? Yes. EU food-grade silicone is non-toxic, odourless, and chemically inert. It does not leach into water or soil and meets the same standard used in baby products and food preparation.
Does it ship from Australia? Yes. Quick Bloom Lights stocks the kit in Sydney and ships across Australia. For intl shipping please email sales@quickbloomlights.com.au
You’re crazy if you don’t swap core for fade in the last 10-14 days removing all the nitrate!! The plant has no choice but to translocate nitrogen and really help in senescence. Running fade and bloom still at full ec ensures you have a super healthy plant all the way to harvest. Having a plant completely finish without any deficiencies is a beautiful thing.
