The GreenPlanet Pro Cal is GreenPlanet's calcium and magnesium additive, with fully chelated iron. It's designed to run with every GreenPlanet program through veg and flower, and it's coco approved — a common first addition on RO water, soft water or coco.

Why add calcium and magnesium

Calcium builds cell walls and helps form calcium pectate, the material that holds cells together. Magnesium sits at the centre of chlorophyll. Both run short quickly on RO or soft water and in coco, which binds calcium and magnesium in the early weeks. Pro Cal tops them up alongside your base without changing its recipe.

How to use it

Use 1.2 mL per litre through veg, rising to 1.8 mL per litre in flower. Stop before the final flush week — GreenPlanet's program runs that week with Rezin and water.

FAQ

Do I need it with Dual Fuel?

Dual Fuel Part 1 already carries calcium. Pro Cal is worth adding on RO or soft water, in coco, or if you see calcium or magnesium demand run high.

My tap water is hard — do I still need it?

Often less. Test your water first and add Pro Cal only as your plants and readings call for it.

Can I use it with the HORTI line?

The HORTI line has its own calcium base, Horti Cal, so follow the HORTI chart rather than adding Pro Cal by default.

Can I mix it with another brand?

We don't recommend it. GreenPlanet's feed programs are built around its own bases and additives, so results are most predictable when you stay within the range.
