The AC Infinity Grow Tent Mounting Bars for 5x5 tents are a set of four steel bars that strap to the inside of your tent frame, giving you extra mounting points at whatever height you need and bracing the walls against being pulled in by your exhaust fan. The set is sized for 150 × 150 cm (5 × 5 ft) tents such as the Cloudlab 866 (150 × 150 × 200 cm).
Firmer walls and more places to mount gear
An inline fan running a tent under negative pressure tends to pull the canvas walls inwards. Strapped across the frame, these bars brace the walls from the inside and give you a steel rail wherever you want one: clip fans at canopy height, a trellis net, a hanging drying rack or supplementary side lighting. AC Infinity notes that lights with magnetic mounts can attach straight onto the steel bars.
Support clamps double the hold
Each bar is rated at up to 0.9 kg (2 lb). That is the conservative figure from AC Infinity's installation manual, and the one we quote so you have margin; you may see 2 kg (4.4 lb) on the spec graphic. The support clamps sit under the bars at the poles for extra hold and come in two sizes, four for 16 mm poles and four for 22 mm poles, fixed with the machine screws and nuts supplied. AC Infinity gives these ratings for bars fitted to a Cloudlab tent.
Grip pads and straps for quick height changes
Each bar end takes an adhesive silicone pad. Thin and thick pads are both included, so you can pick the pair that makes the bar sit snug against your poles. Hook-and-loop straps then wrap around the pole and cinch tight. To move a bar, loosen the straps, slide it up or down and tighten them again. The straps need no tools.
Pick the set that matches your tent
The bars are a fixed length, not telescopic, so each set is cut for one tent footprint. Match the set to the floor size of your tent:

Which size do I need?
Match the set to your tent's floor footprint. This 5x5 set suits 150 × 150 cm (5 × 5 ft) tents, which in the AC Infinity range we stock means the Cloudlab 866 (150 × 150 × 200 cm). The size table above lists the other four sets.
Will they fit a tent that isn't AC Infinity?
AC Infinity only lists and rates these bars for its Cloudlab tents, so we can't promise a fit on other brands. Check two things before you buy. First, the inside span between your tent's poles needs to suit the 145.4 cm bars. Second, measure the pole diameter: the support clamps are made for 16 mm and 22 mm poles. If you're unsure, send us your tent's measurements and we'll check.
What can I hang on them?
AC Infinity lists trellis nets, drying racks, clip fans and supplementary side lighting. Keep each bar within 0.9 kg and check the weight of what you hang, clip fans included. Anything heavier, such as your main light, carbon filter or inline fan, goes on the tent's roof bars, which are rated at 68 kg hanging weight on current Cloudlab tents.
Do I have to take my tent apart to fit them?
Only the canvas comes off. AC Infinity says to remove the tent walls first because the bars strap to the frame poles, then put the walls back on once the bars are in place.
Can I use this set in a Cloudlab 816 (10x5) with centre poles?
AC Infinity doesn't make a 10x5 set or list the 5x5 set for the 816. The 816's centre poles divide it into two 150 cm bays, but AC Infinity hasn't confirmed that the 145.4 cm bars fit those bays, so talk to us before ordering one or two sets for it.
