Dual Spectrum: UV and far-red you control yourself
Most fixtures give you one spectrum and one dimmer. This one gives you three. The main array is 1920 white 4000 K plus 768 deep red 660 nm — the photosynthetic workhorse. On top of that sit 256 UV-A diodes at 395 nm and 256 far-red diodes at 730 nm, each on its own channel with its own manual control, so you decide when they run and how hard.
That separation is the point. UV-A and far-red are supplementary tools rather than things you leave on all cycle — growers typically bring them in at specific stages rather than running them flat out from day one. Digi-Lumen publish a dedicated guide on using the UV and far-red channels, and we would rather point you at that than make claims about results we have not measured ourselves. Efficacy is the honest way to compare grow lights: photons out per watt in. At 3.52 µmol/J this fixture is roughly 17% more efficient than the 3.0 µmol/J across the rest of the Extreme range. Over a full cycle that is a meaningful difference on the power bill, and it compounds — less waste heat means your extraction spends less time at full speed holding the room, so the saving shows up twice.
Eight bars, even photons corner to corner
Eight bars spread across a 1120 × 1060 mm frame, each diode throwing a 120° beam so the cones overlap well before they reach the canopy. Digi-Lumen measure 1627 µmol/m²/s at 30 cm across a 5 × 5 grid, with the intensity holding out to the edges. The frame folds in half for storage and transport, and at 8.7 kg it hangs off a standard pair of rope ratchets.
Where it really shines: CO2
Ambient air sits at roughly 420 ppm CO2, and at that level a plant eventually reaches a point where more light stops turning into more growth — carbon becomes the limiting factor, not photons. A fixture putting 3125 µmol/s across 3.24 m² is comfortably past that point when it is wound all the way up.
Enrich the room to around 1000–1500 ppm and that ceiling lifts. The plants can keep converting the light you are giving them, and the full 888 W goes to work. This is a fixture built for a sealed or semi-sealed room with a CO2 source, a regulator and solenoid, and something holding ppm steady. Optimal ppm and light levels vary with what you are growing, your room temperature and your feed, so treat those numbers as a starting point.
The driver is built in
An 888 W high-frequency driver sits inside the fixture's spine. Nothing to mount on the tent pole, no low-voltage lead to route, one power cord per light. Cleaner install, fewer connections to work loose. Iron frame with an aluminium heat sink, passively cooled, IP45 rated for dust and moisture, and rated to run anywhere from -25°C to 40°C.
Runs on your AC Infinity controller. The whole Digi-Lumen range works with AC Infinity's UIS system through the
UIS Lighting Adapter Type-A. Plug the adapter into the fixture's control port and into a Controller 69, 69 Pro, 69 Pro+ or AI+, and your photoperiod and dimming run off the same controller as your inline fan, humidifier and heater — one schedule, one app, one place to change it. No separate lighting timer, no second system to learn.

FAQ
How is this different from the Extreme 1000 W?
Same 1.8 × 1.8 m footprint and the same eight-bar bi-fold frame, but two real differences. First, efficacy: 3.52 µmol/J against 3.0, so it produces more light for every watt you pay for and draws 112 W less at full tilt. Second, the UV and far-red channels, which the 1000 W does not have. If you want the most efficient fixture and the extra spectrum control, this is the one. If you want maximum raw photons for the lowest purchase price, the 1000 W is still 3000 µmol/s for less money.
Do I have to run the UV and far-red channels?
No. They are on separate controls and you can leave them off entirely — the fixture still delivers a full-spectrum 1.8 × 1.8 m canopy without them. They are there for when you want to experiment, and Digi-Lumen's channel guide is the place to start.
Is UV at 395 nm safe to be around?
395 nm is UV-A, the long-wavelength end — not the UV-B or UV-C used in sterilisation. It still makes sense to avoid looking directly into any high-output fixture and to keep exposure sensible when you are working in the room with the channel running. Wear eye protection if you are going to be in there for a while.
What do I need to run it off an AC Infinity controller?
Two things: a UIS Lighting Adapter Type-A (AC-ADL7) and a UIS controller — Controller 69, 69 Pro, 69 Pro+ or AI+. The adapter plugs into the control port on the light and into a UIS port on the controller, and from there the light behaves like any other UIS device: same schedule, same app, same place you set your fan and humidifier. What does the 4.49 A draw mean for my circuit?
At full output it pulls about 4.5 A on a 240 V supply, so a single fixture sits comfortably on a standard 10 A outlet with room for a fan alongside it. If you are running two or more lights plus the rest of the gear on one circuit, have a licensed electrician confirm the load before install day.
How does it handle a humid grow room?
Well. It is IP45 rated against dust and splashing water from any direction and runs anywhere from -25°C to 40°C, so a working room at high humidity is exactly the environment it was built for. It is not designed for submersion or direct hosing, so keep the wash-down away from it.
Is it covered by an Australian warranty?
