The AC Infinity Airlift T14 is a 356 mm (14″) shutter exhaust fan for pulling hot, stale or damp air out of a space through an exterior wall. Steel shutters open on airflow and fall shut when the fan stops, so the opening is not a permanent hole in your building. It moves 2,571 m³/h (1,513 CFM) on 70 W using an EC motor with ten speed levels, and it ships with a Controller 69 Pro and a sensor probe so it runs on a temperature or humidity target rather than a switch. Common in workshops, garages, sheds, subfloors and laundries, and used by plenty of growers to vent a sealed room. Quick Bloom Lights is the official Australian importer: stocked in Sydney, shipped domestically.

This model ships with a US-style plug. That is how AC Infinity supply the T14 and T20. Easily handled — an earthed (grounded) plug adapter does it, or a licensed electrician can fit an Australian lead, which is worth folding into the same visit since the fan is going into a wall to stay. The unit is rated 100–240 V so Australian mains voltage suits it fine; it is only the plug on the end of the lead. Message us if you would like a hand deciding which route suits your install.

The shutter is what makes it a wall fan

Put an ordinary fan in an exterior wall and you have left a hole in the building. Wind drives back through it, dust and insects come in, and heat leaves through it around the clock whether the fan is running or not.

The Airlift T14's shutters are steel and gravity-operated. Airflow pushes them open, and when the fan stops they fall closed on their own — no motor, no latch, nothing to set or service. That is the whole reason to choose a shutter fan over an inline duct fan, which is built to sit in a duct run rather than in the wall itself.

What size space it suits

Ventilation is normally sized by air changes per hour: room volume in cubic metres, multiplied by how many times an hour you want that volume replaced. Workshops and garages are commonly specified around 6–10 air changes per hour; a hot roof space or a room with a genuine moisture problem wants more.

At roughly eight air changes an hour, the Airlift T14's 2,571 m³/h suits a space of about 321 m³ — very roughly 134 m² of floor at a 2.4 m ceiling. Treat that as a starting point rather than a specification: the right number depends on what the space is doing, how hot it gets and how much make-up air can get in. And the airflow figure is AC Infinity's free-air rating, measured with nothing in front of the fan, so a grille or a restricted opening will pull real delivery below it. Size up rather than exactly.

Venting a grow space rather than a workshop? Our exhaust fan size calculator works it out from tent or room dimensions.

Noise: what to expect

AC Infinity rate the Airlift T14 at 68 dBA at full speed. That is a working noise level rather than a background one, roughly a raised conversation in the room, and it is simply what moving 2,571 m³/h through a wall opening sounds like. We would rather put that in front of you than have it arrive as a surprise.

What softens it is that you rarely need full speed. The controller gives ten levels and noise drops away quickly as you come down them, and because the fan triggers on a temperature or humidity target it is switched off entirely much of the time in most installations. If the space is one you work in quietly, the better move is to run this fan at a lower level than to fit a smaller one flat out.

UIS™ compatible: the Controller 69 Pro and the 3.7 m sensor probe are in the box, so the fan triggers on temperature or humidity with no separate thermostat to buy. Because it is a UIS device it can also share a controller with other AC Infinity equipment, which is where a shed or a sealed room stops being several appliances each doing its own thing.

FAQ

What size hole do I cut?

373 × 373 mm (14.68 × 14.68″). The unit itself is larger than that, at 430 × 430 × 206 mm (16.93 × 16.93 × 8.10″), because the frame overlaps the wall around the opening, and the fixing holes sit 300 mm (11.81″) apart. Hold the fan against the wall and mark it before cutting — AC Infinity's manual says the same, and a hole cut from a figure on a screen rather than the fan in your hands is not one you can undo.

How loud is it really?

68 dBA at full speed, which is loud — about the level of a raised conversation. It drops away substantially on the lower speed levels, and on a temperature or humidity trigger it spends much of its time off. If quiet matters, run it at a lower level rather than buying smaller.

Can it go on a wall exposed to the weather?

It is IP44, meaning protected against dust and against splashing water from any direction. That covers a normal exterior wall, rain hitting the shutters and a damp subfloor or shed. It is not submersible and it is not intended for driving rain straight into the housing, so give it an eave, a hood or a sheltered aspect if the wall is fully exposed.

What about the US plug?

That is how AC Infinity supply this model. If you use a plug adapter, make sure it is an earthed (grounded) one, or have a licensed electrician fit an Australian lead — and since the fan is being installed into a wall anyway, doing it at the same time is the tidy option. The unit is rated 100–240 V, so Australian mains voltage is not the issue; the plug on the lead is the only difference. Ask us if you want to talk it through before ordering.

Do I need an electrician?

The fan and controller come with a lead and plug, so if there is a suitable outlet nearby the job is carpentry rather than electrical — cutting the opening, framing it and weathering the outside. Any new fixed wiring, any new outlet, or hard-wiring the unit is a licensed electrician's work in Australia. That part is not optional.

Can I run it off a light switch or a dimmer?

Use the controller it comes with. An EC motor does its speed control by PWM internally, and a household dimmer is not a suitable way to drive one — at best it achieves nothing, at worst it damages the fan. For simple on/off behaviour, set the controller to a fixed level.

Will it work for a grow room?

Yes, and it is a cost-effective way to vent a whole sealed room or a lung room. What it cannot do is run a filtered, ducted extraction path: there is nowhere to fit a carbon filter, so odour goes out with the air. If odour control matters, an inline duct fan paired with a carbon filter is the right tool and this is not.

How does it compare with the other Airlift sizes?

The range is Airlift T10 at 1,072 m³/h, Airlift T14 at 2,571 m³/h, Airlift T20 at 5,819 m³/h. They differ in airflow and in the opening you have to cut, not in build: all three use the same EC motor arrangement, steel shutters, aluminium blades and included controller. If a room needs air moved between two internal spaces rather than out of the building, the Room to Room Fan is the quieter and more appropriate answer.

Is this genuine AC Infinity stock with Australian warranty?

Yes. Quick Bloom Lights is the official Australian importer and distributor for AC Infinity. Stock is held in Sydney, orders ship domestically, and warranty is handled here rather than through an overseas seller.

Perfect! Should have bought 2, now they're out of stock!

Fantastic, you can even stage the fan speeds. I have mine set at 1c intervals so it steps the fan speed up one level for each 1c over the temperature you set. You can set & receive alerts on your mobile. You can also monitor all the metrics on your mobile phone and make adjustments remotely.

Awesome service and product

Bought 2 of these fans with free shipping, said it would take 2 weeks and I thought yep that’s cool. 3 days later it arrives, great service thank you. Unboxed them and tested them to be working as described, I will be putting these in a shipping container and I’m confident they will work well, I will report back if I have any issues. Thank you very much
