The Digi-Lumen Extreme 1000 W is an eight-bar bi-fold fixture built to light a full 1.8 × 1.8 m canopy — 3000 µmol/s at 3.0 µmol/J from 2720 diodes, with the 1000 W driver built into the fixture so there is no ballast box to mount and no DC lead running across the room. It is a serious amount of light, and it is at its best in a CO2-enriched room. Four dimming steps let you match output to the stage you are in, and with an AC Infinity Type-A adapter the whole thing runs off the same UIS controller as your fan, humidifier and heater.

Eight bars, even photons corner to corner

Eight bars spread across a 1120 × 1060 mm frame, each diode throwing a 120° beam so the cones overlap well before they reach the canopy. That is what delivers 1796 µmol/m²/s at 30 cm with the intensity holding out to the edges — the plants in the corners of the tent get the same treatment as the ones under the middle, which is where even, predictable yields come from.

The light source is 2720 single-mount LEDs: 2560 white 4000 K for the broad photosynthetic workload, plus 160 deep red 660 nm. One spectrum, full cycle, no changing globes between veg and flower.

Where it really shines: CO2

This is the part worth understanding before you buy a 1000 W light. Ambient air sits at roughly 420 ppm CO2, and at that level a plant eventually reaches a point where more light stops turning into more growth — carbon becomes the limiting factor, not photons. A fixture putting 3000 µmol/s across 3.24 m² is comfortably past that point when it is wound all the way up.

Enrich the room to around 1000–1500 ppm and that ceiling lifts. The plants can keep converting the light you are giving them, and the full 1000 W goes to work instead of sitting idle above the canopy. This is where a light of this class pulls away from a smaller fixture, and it is exactly the job the Extreme 1000 W was designed for — a sealed or semi-sealed room, a CO2 source, a regulator and solenoid, and something holding ppm steady.

Not running CO2 yet? It is still an excellent light — that is what the dimmer is for. Run it at 500 W or 760 W over the same canopy and you get even, efficient coverage matched to what the plants can use in ambient air, with the headroom already sitting there for the day you seal the room up. Buy it once, grow into it.

The driver is built in

A 1000 W high-frequency driver sits inside the fixture's spine. Nothing to mount on the tent pole, no low-voltage lead to route, one power cord per light. It is a cleaner install with fewer connections to work loose, and at 8.3 kg the fixture hangs comfortably off a standard pair of rope ratchets.

The frame folds in half for storage and transport — two hinge points, quick to open, quick to put away between runs. Iron frame with an aluminium heat sink, passively cooled, IP45 rated for dust and moisture, and rated to run anywhere from -25°C to 40°C.

3.0 µmol/J, and what that buys you

Efficacy is the honest way to compare grow lights: photons out per watt in. At 3.0 µmol/J more of the 1000 W on your meter ends up as light on the canopy and less of it as heat in the room. That shows up twice on the power bill — once in what the light draws for the photons it delivers, and again in the extraction and cooling that no longer has to work as hard to hold temperature.

Dim it by hand, or hand it to your controller

A manual dimmer on the spine steps through 250 W, 500 W, 760 W and 1000 W. Wind it back for seedlings and early veg, step it up as the canopy fills, run it out through flower — one light, whole cycle, no extra hardware needed.

Alongside it is an RJ12 control port, and that is where this light really earns its place in a modern tent.

Runs on your AC Infinity controller. The whole Digi-Lumen range works with AC Infinity's UIS system through the UIS Lighting Adapter Type-A. Plug the adapter into the fixture's RJ12 port and into a Controller 69, 69 Pro, 69 Pro+ or AI+, and your photoperiod and dimming run off the same controller as your inline fan, humidifier and heater — one schedule, one app, one place to change it. No separate lighting timer, no second system to learn.

FAQ

Do I need CO2 to get the most out of it?

To get the most out of it at full output, yes — that is the honest answer, and it is also the reason to want this light. Around 1000–1500 ppm CO2 lifts the point at which extra light stops adding growth, so the whole 1000 W ends up doing something useful. In ambient air the plants plateau before the light does. You still get a first-class light without CO2 — run it on 500 W or 760 W and it is beautifully matched to an unenriched room — but if you are building a sealed room, this is the fixture to build it around. Optimal ppm and light levels vary with what you are growing, your room temperature and your feed, so treat those numbers as a starting point.

What do I need to run it off an AC Infinity controller?

Two things: a UIS Lighting Adapter Type-A (AC-ADL7) and a UIS controller — Controller 69, 69 Pro, 69 Pro+ or AI+. The adapter plugs into the RJ12 port on the light and into a UIS port on the controller, and from there the light behaves like any other UIS device: same schedule, same app, same place you set your fan and humidifier. If you are putting a whole tent together, tell us what is going in it and we will put the parts list together for you.

What size space is it best in?

A 1.8 × 1.8 m (6×6) canopy is where it is designed to run flat out and where you get the most out of it. It also works beautifully as a step-down light in a 1.5 × 1.5 m space on the 760 W setting, or over a 1.2 × 1.2 m tent on 500 W with plenty of headroom left for when you expand. If your space is smaller and likely to stay that way, the Extreme 720 W or 400 W will suit you better and we are happy to point you there.

Do I need a separate ballast or driver box?

No. The driver is inside the fixture. One 240 V power cord, hang it, and you are running.

How much can I dim it by hand?

Four steps on the fixture: 250 W, 500 W, 760 W and 1000 W. That covers propagation through to full flower on one light — set the step that suits the stage and leave it there. If you would rather the dimming ran itself, that is what the RJ12 port and the Type-A adapter are for.

What does the 5.05 A draw mean for my circuit?

At full output it pulls a little over 5 A on a 240 V supply, so a single fixture sits comfortably on a standard 10 A outlet with room for a fan alongside it. If you are running two or more lights plus the rest of the gear on one circuit, have a licensed electrician confirm the load — it is a quick conversation and worth having before install day.

How does it handle a humid grow room?

Well. It is IP45 rated against dust and splashing water from any direction and runs anywhere from -25°C to 40°C, so a working tent at high humidity is exactly the environment it was built for. It is not designed for submersion or direct hosing, so keep the wash-down away from it.

What about the XL version?

The Extreme 1000 W XL is the same 1000 W and the same 3000 µmol/s spread across ten bars and a wider 2.5 × 1.8 m frame — a great fit if your space is rectangular rather than square. Get in touch and we will sort one out for you.

Is it covered by an Australian warranty?

Yes. Two years, backed by Quick Bloom Lights here in Sydney. If something goes wrong you deal with us, not an offshore seller.
