The AC Infinity IONFRAME EVO10 is the biggest light in the EVO range — 1,000 W and 3,710 diodes on the same 112 x 113 cm frame as the EVO8, which means more intensity over the same footprint rather than a physically larger fixture. Mostly Samsung LM301H EVO white in two colour temperatures, with Seoul UV, OSRAM deep red and OSRAM far-red mixed in. Ships with the Controller 77. Same frame as the EVO8, a great deal more light

This is the thing worth understanding before you choose between them. The EVO10 and the EVO8 share a 112 x 113 cm frame and hang in exactly the same space. What changes is density: 3,710 diodes at 1,000 W against the EVO8's 2,688 at 730 W, taking PPFD from 2013 to 2146.

So the EVO10 is not the light you buy for a bigger tent footprint. It is the light you buy when you want a 5x5 driven hard, when you are running CO₂ and can use the extra intensity, or when you want the headroom to spread over a larger area at lower output. AC Infinity's spec sheet rates it to 7x7 ft veg and 6x6 ft flower while marketing it as a 5x5 fixture — treat 5x5 as the intensity-optimised footprint and 6x6 as the stretch.

What is actually in the spectrum

The white base is Samsung LM301H EVO — 2,360 diodes at 3000K and 1,200 at 5000K — which AC Infinity rate at 3.14 µmol/J per diode. Layered on top: 10 x Seoul 395 nm UV, 130 x OSRAM 660 nm deep red and 10 x OSRAM 730 nm far-red. The deep red weighting carries the flowering response, the far-red assists canopy penetration, and the UV sits in small measure.

Two drivers, and why that matters

At this wattage the EVO10 runs two removable drivers at 5.0 A each rather than one large unit. Splitting the load keeps heat off the fixture and keeps each driver serviceable on its own. Both mount away from the light body, so the heat they produce is not sitting above your canopy.

Control is the same as the rest of the range: Controller 77 in the box with schedule, sunrise and sunset ramping, ten brightness levels and a power switch. It is UIS compatible, so it joins your AC Infinity controller and runs on the same program as your extraction. Up to 80 lights can be daisy-chained — the splitter dongles this needs are sold separately, and each controller port carries up to 16 lights of the same series.

EVO10 or EVO8? Identical footprint on the ceiling, so it is a question of intensity and running cost, not fit. Take the EVO10 if you are pushing a 5x5 hard, running CO₂, or want to cover up to 6x6. Take the EVO8 if you are flowering a standard 5x5 and would rather the light sat at 70–80% than flat out — it costs less to buy and less to run.

Questions we get asked

Is it a 5x5 light or a 6x6 light?

Both answers are defensible, which is why it causes confusion. AC Infinity market it as a 5x5 fixture and their spec sheet lists 6x6 ft flower and 7x7 ft veg. The honest reading: 5x5 is where you get full intensity across the whole canopy, 6x6 is what it will cover if you are willing to trade some intensity at the edges. If you have a 6x6 and want it driven properly, talk to us first.

Is 1,000 W too much for a 5x5?

Not if you can extract the heat and you dim it. Ten levels plus ramping mean you can run it at 70% through most of the cycle and have the headroom in peak flower. Where it becomes too much is a sealed room with undersized extraction — size the fan to 1,000 W of input, not to the tent.

Why does it have two drivers?

To split a 1,000 W load. Two 5.0 A drivers run cooler than one large unit, both are removable and mount off the fixture, and a failure takes out half the light rather than all of it.

What do I need to daisy-chain two of these?

A splitter dongle, sold separately — it is not in the box. Each controller port then carries up to 16 lights, all from the same series. Ask us and we will confirm the right dongle for your setup.

Is the 3.14 µmol/J figure for the whole fixture?

No. That is AC Infinity's efficacy figure for a single Samsung LM301H EVO diode, not the assembled light with driver losses included. We quote it as they publish it.
