The Digi-Lumen Extreme 1000 W XL takes the same 1000 W and the same 3000 µmol/s at 3.0 µmol/J as the standard Extreme 1000 W and spreads it across ten bars and a 1640 mm wide frame — 4.5 m² of canopy instead of 3.24 m². Same photons, wider footprint, lower intensity per square metre. If your room is rectangular rather than square, or you are lighting a bench rather than a tent, this is the shape that fits.

Ten bars over a wider footprint

Ten bars across a 1640 × 1120 mm frame, each diode throwing a 120° beam so the cones overlap well before they reach the canopy. Digi-Lumen measure 1324 µmol/m²/s at 30 cm across a 5 × 5 grid. More bars over more width is what keeps a large area even — the same 3000 µmol/s concentrated into a smaller frame would give you a brighter middle and dimmer edges.

The light source is 3400 single-mount LEDs: 3200 white 4000 K carrying the photosynthetic workload, plus 200 deep red 660 nm. One spectrum, seedlings through to flower, nothing to swap over halfway.

The driver is built in

A 1000 W high-frequency driver sits inside the fixture's spine. Nothing to mount on the tent pole, no low-voltage lead to route, one power cord per light. Cleaner install, fewer connections to work loose. At 10.65 kg and 1640 mm wide it is the biggest fixture in the range, so plan your ratchets and your hanging points before it arrives.

The frame folds in half for storage and transport — important at this width, because a rigid 1640 mm fixture is awkward to move through a doorway. Iron frame with an aluminium heat sink, passively cooled, IP45 rated for dust and moisture, and rated to run anywhere from -25°C to 40°C.

Four-step dimming

A manual dimmer on the spine steps through 260 W, 500 W, 800 W and 1000 W. Wind it back for seedlings and early veg, step it up as the canopy fills, run it out through flower — one light, whole cycle, no extra hardware needed. There is also a control port for external dimming.

Runs on your AC Infinity controller. The whole Digi-Lumen range works with AC Infinity's UIS system through the UIS Lighting Adapter Type-A. Plug the adapter into the fixture's control port and into a Controller 69, 69 Pro, 69 Pro+ or AI+, and your photoperiod and dimming run off the same controller as your inline fan, humidifier and heater — one schedule, one app, one place to change it. No separate lighting timer, no second system to learn.

Where it really shines: CO2

Ambient air sits at roughly 420 ppm CO2, and at that level a plant eventually reaches a point where more light stops turning into more growth — carbon becomes the limiting factor, not photons. Spread over 4.5 m² the XL runs at a lower intensity per square metre than the standard 1000 W, so it sits closer to what plants can use in ordinary room air — but wound all the way up it will still reward enrichment.

Take the room to around 1000–1500 ppm with a CO2 source, a regulator and solenoid and something holding ppm steady, and the ceiling lifts. Optimal ppm and light levels vary with what you are growing, your room temperature and your feed, so treat those numbers as a starting point.

FAQ

XL or the standard Extreme 1000 W?

It comes down to the shape of your space, not the amount of light. Both draw 1000 W and both produce 3000 µmol/s. The standard 1000 W concentrates that over 3.24 m² in a roughly square 1120 × 1060 mm frame; the XL spreads it over 4.5 m² in a 1640 × 1120 mm frame. Square tent, higher intensity: standard. Wider room or a long bench: XL. If you are unsure, send us the dimensions of the space and we will tell you which one fits.

Will it fit through a doorway?

Yes, because it folds. Unfolded it is 1640 mm wide, which is wider than a standard door, but the bi-fold frame halves it for transport. Worth knowing before delivery day if it has to go up stairs or around a tight corner.

What do I need to run it off an AC Infinity controller?

Two things: a UIS Lighting Adapter Type-A (AC-ADL7) and a UIS controller — Controller 69, 69 Pro, 69 Pro+ or AI+. The adapter plugs into the control port on the light and into a UIS port on the controller, and from there the light behaves like any other UIS device: same schedule, same app, same place you set your fan and humidifier. If you are putting a whole room together, tell us what is going in it and we will put the parts list together for you.

Do I need a separate ballast or driver box?

No. The driver is inside the fixture. One 240 V power cord, hang it, and you are running.

What does the 5.05 A draw mean for my circuit?

At full output it pulls a little over 5 A on a 240 V supply, so a single fixture sits comfortably on a standard 10 A outlet with room for a fan alongside it. Two on the same circuit, with fans and other gear running, is where you should talk to an electrician rather than guess.

How does it handle a humid grow room?

Well. It is IP45 rated against dust and splashing water from any direction and runs anywhere from -25°C to 40°C, so a working room at high humidity is exactly the environment it was built for. It is not designed for submersion or direct hosing, so keep the wash-down away from it.

Is it covered by an Australian warranty?

Yes. Two years, backed by Quick Bloom Lights here in Sydney. If something goes wrong you deal with us, not an offshore seller.
