The AC Infinity CLOUDLINE PRO T8 is a 200 mm (8″) smart inline duct fan for spaces a 6″ fan can't keep up with — 1,456 m³/h (857 CFM) and a 746 Pa static-pressure rating, which is roughly double the airflow of a T6 through the same restrictive ductwork. A mixed-flow impeller and PWM-controlled EC motor keep it quiet and cheap to run, and the included Controller 69 Pro handles the automation: temperature, humidity and VPD triggers, dynamic speed, timers, schedules and WiFi app control. This is the fan we point people to for 1.5 × 1.5 m (5×5) tents and up, larger grow rooms, and big subfloor or attic runs.

Smart climate control

The Controller 69 Pro does more than switch the fan on and off. Set temperature, humidity and VPD triggers and the fan responds proportionally — speed rises as conditions drift and eases back as they recover, instead of slamming between off and full. Set a minimum speed and it never fully stops, so you keep constant air exchange through a carbon filter rather than letting odour build between cycles. Timer, cycle and schedule modes cover lights-on/lights-off routines, intermittent subfloor extraction, or scheduled purges in a sealed room.

Connect over WiFi to the AC Infinity app for remote control, push notifications, historical climate charts and CSV export — worth having on a room this size, where a fan failure overnight costs you a lot more than it would in a small tent. The controller drives up to four UIS™ devices, so one unit can run this fan plus a second intake fan, a Cloudray clip fan, a Cloudforge humidifier or an Ionframe light.

Quiet, energy-efficient performance

The T8 is rated at 38 dBA at full tilt — higher than a T6, which is what you'd expect from a fan moving twice the air. The number that matters more is what it does at the speeds you'll actually use it at. A T8 running at level 4–5 in a 5×5 is both quieter and cooler than a T6 running at level 9 trying to do the same job, and it isn't wearing out its bearings doing it. Buying one size up and running it slower is the single most reliable way to get a quiet grow room.

Efficiency comes from the PWM-controlled EC motor, rated at 78 W average and 180 W maximum. Those are the figures at the top of the range — draw falls away steeply as you dial the speed back, because fan power scales with roughly the cube of speed, so a T8 loafing at level 5 in a 5×5 is pulling a fraction of its maximum. An AC-motor fan pulls close to its full rated wattage the moment it's switched on, whatever speed you've set it to. The 746 Pa static-pressure rating is what holds that airflow up once a carbon filter, a silencer and a few metres of ducting are in the way, and the motor box detaches from the frame so you can pull it out and clean the impeller without dismantling the run.

UIS™ compatible: The Controller 69 Pro included here runs up to four UIS devices. If you already own a Controller AI+, the T8 plugs straight into that instead — you don't need a different fan model or a second controller.
Bathroom installation requirements: For bathroom exhaust use, this fan must form part of a suitably designed ducted system. Do not install the fan, controller, power connection or other electrical components inside a shower enclosure, directly above a shower or bath, or anywhere exposed to direct water spray. Installation must follow the manufacturer's instructions, the stated IP44 rating, AS/NZS 3000 and applicable electrical and building requirements. Any fixed wiring or electrical installation work must be carried out by a licensed electrician.

FAQ

Do I need a T8, or will a T6 do the job?

The rough dividing line is tent size. A T6 comfortably handles up to 1.2 × 1.2 m (4×4). At 1.5 × 1.5 m (5×5) and above — or 2.4 × 1.2 m (8×4), a full room, or two tents on one extraction run — you want the T8. If you're on the fence, size up. A T8 loafing at level 4 is quieter, cooler, cheaper to run per unit of air moved, and will outlast a T6 that's pinned at level 9 doing the same work.

What's the difference between the CLOUDLINE T8 and the S8?

The fan itself is identical — same motor, same impeller, same 857 CFM. The difference is control. The S8 comes with a simple 10-speed manual dial. The T8 comes with the Controller 69 Pro, which adds temperature, humidity and VPD triggers, dynamic speed, timers, schedules and WiFi app control. If you'll set a speed once and leave it, the S8 saves you money. If you want the fan reacting to conditions on its own, you want the T8.

Can I run 200 mm ducting into a 150 mm filter, or reduce it down?

You can with a reducer, but you'll be throwing away much of what you paid for. Choking an 8″ fan into 6″ ducting or a 6″ filter raises static pressure sharply, drops your real-world airflow well below the rated figure, and makes the fan louder rather than quieter. If you're stepping up to a T8, budget for 200 mm ducting and a 200 mm carbon filter at the same time. If your existing gear is all 150 mm and you'd rather not replace it, a T6 is the better buy.

Is 38 dBA going to be loud?

38 dBA is the figure at maximum speed, and it's a bigger fan than a T6 so the ceiling is higher. In practice most people running a T8 in a 5×5 sit around level 4–5, where it's noticeably quieter than that rating suggests and generally not audible outside the room. If you find yourself needing levels 8–10 regularly, the space is bigger than one T8 can comfortably serve. A silencer and insulated ducting help in any configuration.

Can the Controller 69 Pro be powered on its own, separately from the fan?

No. The Controller 69 Pro draws its power through the fan, so it can't run as a standalone unit. This matters if you've since upgraded to a Controller AI+ and want to redeploy the 69 Pro elsewhere — the workaround most customers use is to plug a clip fan (a Cloudray, for example) into the spare 69 Pro. That gives the controller a power source and gets you a second independent climate zone plus a backup controller.

Will it still pull properly with a carbon filter and ducting attached?

Yes — that's exactly what the 746 Pa static-pressure rating is for. Every filter, bend and metre of flexible duct costs you airflow, and a straight axial fan loses far more of its rated CFM under that load than a mixed-flow fan does. Keep duct runs as short and straight as you reasonably can and you'll retain most of the rated output.

Can I use it for subfloor, attic or bathroom ventilation rather than growing?

Yes, and the T8 is often the right call for larger homes where a 150 mm fan can't shift enough air across a big subfloor footprint. It's IP44-rated, mounts horizontally or vertically, and the climate triggers work just as well on subfloor moisture as on tent humidity. For bathroom exhaust, read the installation requirements above — it must be part of a properly designed ducted system and any fixed wiring needs a licensed electrician.

Is this a genuine AC Infinity unit with Australian warranty?

Yes. Quick Bloom Lights is the official Australian importer and distributor for AC Infinity. Every unit ships with an Australian three-pin plug, SAA certification, and a two-year warranty handled here in Sydney — no shipping units overseas and no dealing with an offshore seller if something goes wrong.

CloudLine T8

What a weapon! This thing would suck the plants off he floor if it wasn't for the soil weighing them down! Purchased 2 of these units after conversing with Soren about other AC Infinity alternate models. I wanted a unit that would perform well in a 5x5 set up without running it at high speeds and shortening the equipment's lifespan. I basically gave Soren the information of what I wanted to achieve (in creating a better grow environment) and he pointed me in the right direction without breaking the bank!

AC Infinity have spent a fortune on research and development, and their products show high quality efficiency, excellent construction along with good solid durable materials used. Now add the magnetic computer screen network?bluetooth/wifi system !!! Its about time grow gear evolved to run off your phone so you can master and control your grow environment from work, or while your stuck in Sydney traffic, or sitting on your throne in your bathroom:). Excellent unit that performs better than any other duct fan I have used.

Thank you very much for your kind words.
We take every interaction with our customers very serious and always base our business on a long term solution not a short term gain - your feedback reconfirms our strategy is the right one, thank you.
